2019 Ford Mustang | Billy Howell Ford LincolnThe Mustang is Ford’s iconic muscle car with a throwback look and style. The 2019 model arrived with some significant updates including a new California Special Package, the return of the Bullit trim, and some interesting new technology features. In addition to these changes, here are some reasons to upgrade to the 2019 Ford Mustang.

  1. The New Trims and Packages

The Bullitt is back for 2019 with its dark Highland Green paint option, special Bullitt wheels, and Bullitt logos. This model comes standard with the Performance Package which adds larger brakes, 19-inch wheels, summer tires, and it also gets you access to the MagneRide adaptive suspension dampers. The 2019 Mustang also has a new California Special Package. This package features the trademark fading stripe that runs from the 5.0 side badge to the rear fender scoop. Across the trunk, there is a black and red California Special badge, and up front, you’ll get a blacked-out open grille and the Mustang Performance Pack 1 splitter.

  1. The Power

The 2019 Mustang still offers several powertrains. The base is a 2.3-liter four-cylinder with 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. Bump up to the GT models for a 5.0-liter V-8 that delivers 460 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque and a manual transmission with a rev-matching feature. This helps you to downshift just like the pros do it. The Bullitt comes with the 5.0-liter V-8, but Ford modified the intake manifold to increase the horsepower to 480.

  1. The New Technology

Some of the new smart technology updates for the 2019 model include a new fully digital instrument panel for the driver. It comes with a feature that displays performance data when you switch the drive mode to Sport+. The 2019 Mustang also gets an updated version of Ford’s SYNC 3 infotainment system. It comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with the FordPass app that allows drivers to use their phone to start the car, lock it, and even use it to find their Mustang.

  1. The Interior

Inside both the coupe and the convertible, you’ll find room for up to four passengers. In the trunk, there are over 13 cubic feet of cargo space in the coupe, and the rear seats fold down flat to accommodate larger items. The front seats are very comfortable even on long rides, and all the controls are easy to use and easily accessible to the driver.

  1. Safety

The 2019 Mustang comes well-equipped with standard and optional safety equipment. All models come standard with a rearview mirror, traction and stability control, and a full suite of airbags that include both side and knee airbags for the front seat passengers. Ford makes advanced safety systems such as blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control available.

The 2019 Ford Mustang has some updates that make it better than ever. The new California Special Package and the new Bullitt trim are the most significant changes and the best reasons to upgrade.
