Kid eating cereal | Billy Howell Ford LincolnAre you having a busy day and want to get away? Grab the kids and head out to one of these four fun and family-friendly restaurants in Cumming. The kids eat free, so you can enjoy the night and let them have what they want.

Rick Tanner’s Grille & Bar

You’ll find Rick Tanner’s located within the Cherry Street Taproom in Cumming. This fully functioning bar does have a kid-friendly atmosphere one night a week. Bring the kids with you Monday nights, as they eat free starting at 4 p.m. Make sure you stick around because the fun doesn’t end with a free meal. You can enjoy a game of family bingo starting at 6:30 p.m.

Some of the fun food options include an order of cheesy chicken lips. This odd-sounding dish consists of fried egg rolls with rotisserie chicken and Wisconsin cheese. The restaurant also offers world-famous chicken fingers in either buffalo or traditional style. You may also enjoy something from Tanner’s Taco Stand. These flavors include pork tacos, buffalo chicken tacos, and fish tacos.

Chik-fil-A

To take part in this family-friendly treat, you need to make the drive from Cumming to Dawsonville. Let the kids run around in the play area while you order dinner. The best time to visit this location is during family night, usually on Monday, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. It’s a great way to start the week with less stress.

Every family night has a different theme, so your children can enjoy a variety of activities. While there, they can enjoy family-friendly meals such as the four-piece kid’s meal or even a six-piece for older children. The adults can enjoy classic sandwiches or grilled options with their delicious waffle-cut fries.

IHOP

Dinner is not just about traditional foods like pasta and hamburgers. It can be a time for any type of food, including breakfast selections. Head over to IHOP on Market Place Boulevard for kid’s night every night of the week from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Do you have a creative child? Let their creativity shine through with the Create a Face pancake. They get the chance to design a large pancake as they see fit. Some of the options they can use to decorate the pancake include bananas, strawberries, and a tube of Go-Gurt. Keep your kids happy before the meal by letting them use your mobile device on the restaurant’s free Wi-Fi network.

Steak & Shake

Do your kids enjoy a good hamburger for dinner? Bring them over to Steak and Shake during the weekend. All you have to do is spend $9. They receive a plate, but it does not include their drink or a milkshake. You must dine in, and this applies to children under 12 only. Choose from a burger, macaroni and cheese, or even an order of chicken fingers to keep your young diner happy. They can also enjoy mini corn dogs or a grilled cheese sandwich. Each main dish includes a side of either applesauce or french fries.
